There is something wonderful about handwritten notes and letters. The ones time makes more interesting and keeps reminding us of who wrote them...and why.
I am lucky to have my parent's old letters, not only the ones they wrote me in college but also the ones they wrote to each other. and to friends. The smell, the wrinkled-yellow paper and torn enveloped and the stamps....oh, those very cool beautiful stamps!
I remember just by looking at the envelope I could tell who was it from, mom or dad. I knew their handwriting and I knew the kind of paper they liked to use. Each letter have marks and imperfections made while writing them. Today they still make me feel close to my parents, as if I could see them in that moment, sitting down in their desks thinking of me.
